About Vahid Osman:
Dr. Vahid Osman is a board-certified Psychiatrist and Addictionologist with over nineteen years of experience in skillfully treating patients with mental illness, as well as chemical dependency and developmental disorders. He is the owner and founder of Osman Clinic & Associates and American Telepsychiatry Associates. He practices in Indiana, Wisconsin, and California—which is facilitated by the telepsychiatry option as treatment for patients unable to be seen in the clinic.
He is one of the pioneers of telepsychiatry in the state of Indiana. As the medical director of multiple facilities in both Indiana and Wisconsin, he treats a variety of clients including those seeking inpatient treatment, outpatient services, and intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization programs for substance-related/addictive disorders and mental illness. Dr. Osman has the ability to positively impact patients being treated for an array of mental health problems by drawing on his years of experience.
He is a natural born entrepreneur. He has managed multiple businesses for over 30 years.
Ms. Djorovic has been in management for over 15 years. She works closely with our staff to ensure our clients have a positive experience.

Laura Borowiec, MS, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with fifteen years of experience focusing on the following, but is not limited to: Children: Adolescents: Adults: Couples/Family; Anxiety: Depression: Anger Management: Defiant Behaviors: Stress: Grief/Loss: Interpersonal Communication: Trauma: Behavioral Conces. Laura received her Bachelors degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counselor from Purdue Northwest located in Hammond, IN. Laura received her licensure and became a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in 2019.
Laura’s main objective is to provide a calming, trusting environment for her clients to feel welcomed, sate and comfortable throughout their therapeutic journey. Laura implements a collaborative, client-focused approach to therapy with an emphasis on client strengths and needs. Her theoretical orientation includes, but is not limited to: Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)/ Trauma-Focused CBI, Psychoanalysis and Solution Focused Therapy. Mr. Vitela graduated Summa Cum Laude, Bachelor of Science Human Services Counseling Concentration 2015 Graduated Master of Social Work 2018 Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Mr. Vitela has worked in a variety of settings including a psychiatric group home, a substance abuse and counseling center, as an on campus student counselor at a Indiana University, with Lake County Juvenile Probation, and with families in distress via the Indiana department of child services as a family and individual therapist. Mr. Vitela has extensive experience counseling individuals and couples and families experiencing adversity. Mr. Vitela specializes in anxiety, depression, processing trauma, and healthy relationships. Mr. Vitela often uses a Solution Focused approach along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with components of motivational interviewing and person-centered therapy. Mr. Vitela is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Mr. Vitela uses Mindfulness techniques to help clients confront distress. “I believe in a person centered therapeutic approach where a client feels supported and valued. Komal Wells is a doctorally prepared, dual-certified nurse practitioner specializing in family and psychiatric mental health. She began her career in healthcare as a Registered Nurse in 2013, received her Master’s in Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018, and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree along with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate in 2023. She is a mental health advocate believes in collaborating with patients to find the best treatment options.

jacky Liszewski is a Licensed Clinical Social worker with 8 years practicing Social work. Jacky is of Mexican descent and speaks Spanish fluently.

Kristy Alvarez graduated from Indiana University Northwest in 2013 with her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree. Kristy furthered her social work education through Indiana University Northwest and graduated in 2015 with her Master of Social Work degree (MSW). In October of 2015, Kristy obtained her license for the State of Indiana as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). Kristy’s work experience ranges from working with children and adolescents placed in the foster care system for many years. Most recently, Kristy was an individual therapist at a drug and alcohol residential treatment program for individuals that suffer from problematic drug and/or alcohol use/abuse. Kristy is extremely experienced in working with adults, adolescents, and children that experience difficulties that include but are not limited to the following: anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, trauma in childhood and/or adulthood, children/adult children of addicts, grief/loss, relationship/marital issues, defiant behaviors, and ADHD. Kristy specializes in processing trauma from childhood and adulthood, problematic alcohol and substance use/abuse, anxiety, depression, and relationship/marital issues.
Kristy’s main goal is to assist individuals to heal from the distress and hardships they experience so they can become the best version of themselves. Sam is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. However, she does have experience working with older adults, couples, and families. Since 2018 she has worked with a range of diagnoses from anxiety disorders to psychosis related disorders. Sam believes that there is no such thing as one shoe fits all. This has guided her in taking an eclectic therapy approach to meet the needs of the individuals she works with.

Sam prides herself on providing a safe and open environment for everyone. She understands the importance of having someone to confide in, in a judgment-free space.
